Galatasaray midfielder Hakim Ziyech has shared social media commentary about recent disturbances in Amsterdam involving Israeli football supporters.

The Morocco international, who spent four years at Ajax, posted footage of the incident on his Instagram Stories with the caption: “When it’s not about women and children, they run away quickly, and Palestine will remain free.”

The comments from the former Chelsea player come amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East. Ziyech, 31, maintains strong connections to Amsterdam where he played between 2016 and 2020.
