US president-elect names defence deputy nominee
Donald Trump has announced Steve Feinberg as his choice for Deputy Secretary of Defense, sharing the nomination on his Truth Social platform.
“Stephen Feinberg will serve as Deputy Secretary of Defense, and help make the Pentagon Great Again,” Trump stated.
He described Feinberg as an “extremely successful businessman” who would work alongside previously nominated Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
Feinberg, 64, is a Princeton University graduate who founded Cerberus Capital Management, a private investment firm, in 1992.
He previously served as chair of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board during Trump’s first term. Forbes estimates his net worth at $5 billion.
