The UNSMIL has announced that the displaced persons from Sirte have reached 90 thousand and 449, saying 35 thousand of them fled the city in last April and May alone.

In its annual report, the UNSMIL said Monday that the humanitarian situation in Libya is very serious as the above number of IDPs represents three thirds of the entire population of Sirte, most of whom took refuge in Bani Waleed, Tarhouna, Al-Jufra, and Misurata.

On the same issue, Misurata local crises committee said there is a growing number of newcomers to the city recently, estimating the number of displaced persons in Misurata as nearly 9 thousand, among whom there are three thousand children under the age of three.
