UN envoy to Libya meets the head of the Presidential Council
UN envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame, met with the head of the Presidential Council (PC) Faiz Al-Sarraj, in Tripoli on Monday, to discuss his briefing to the Security Council, the implementation of the plan of action and preparations for elections.
Salame said on the United Nations Support Mission in Libya Facebook page that he will visit a number of Libyan cities this week “to communicate with Libyans and officials, and to discuss with them the best ways to implement the UN action plan for Libya”
Last September, Salame presented a new plan of action to the high-level international meeting held at UN Headquarters in New York, which had the seal of approval from the House of Representatives last week.
