U.S. Ambassador to Libya Richard Norland met with Wahida Al-Hashan, a representative of the Supreme Council of the Amazigh of Libya, to address escalating tensions in the western city of Yefren.

During the talks, Ambassador Norland expressed optimism for a peaceful resolution to the crisis, according to a statement released by the U.S. Embassy in Libya. The diplomat emphasised the importance of continued dialogue between all parties.
