Tunisian President: Libyans should hold onto political agreement
The Tunisian President, Beji Caid Essebsi, has said his country is in full support of all agreements made by Libyan conflicting parties that lead to stability and security.
In a meeting with the Libyan Prime Minister of the Government of National Accord (GNA) Fayez Al-Serraj, Essebsi said Libyans should not let go of the Libyan Political Agreement (LPA) so that they can found a new consensus among all parties.
The meeting, which took place in Tunis, also discussed the bad influence of the current chaos in Libya on Tunisia and that is why the latter is so keen on seeing Libya stable and secure.
Al-Serraj, on the other hand, told Essebsi of the roadmap he devised and the outcome of Paris meeting as well as different meetings he held with a variety of Libyan stakeholders, saying they all shared a common thread, that is, the assertion on Libya’s sovereignty and building the country using the agreed on LPA and his roadmap.
