Tunisia Announces Significant Growth in Exports to Libya

The Tunisian Export Promotion Centre has revealed a substantial increase in exports to Libya, exceeding 18% growth between 2020-2024.

According to an official statement obtained by Libyan Express, Tunisian exports to the Libyan market generated an impressive 245.2 million Tunisian dinars in 2024 alone, defying regional economic headwinds.

Mechanical and electrical industries dominated the export portfolio at 37.2% of total exports, with miscellaneous industries following at 35.5%, whilst the agricultural and food industries sector accounted for 27.3%.

Cement and related products emerged as the foremost export commodity, valued at 137 million dinars. Drilling and surveying equipment alongside tissues ranked second at 120 million dinars, with mechanical and electrical devices securing third position at a value of 83 million Tunisian dinars.

Tunisia currently maintains its presence at the 51st Tripoli International Fair, running from 22-28 April. The Tunisian pavilion hosts 13 export enterprises showcasing food products, cosmetics, skincare solutions, ceramics, and various other industrial goods.
