Tripoli Supreme Court declined Presidential Council’s appeal to halt the verdict on annulled LIA steering committee
Tripoli Supreme Court has declined the appeal of the Presidential Council (PC) of the UN-backed Government of National Accord (GNA) that was meant to reconsider the decree (No.115 of 2016) that saw the illegal appointment of the steering committee for the Libyan Investment Authority (LIA).
The rebuttal of the appeal by the Supreme Court showed the validity and authenticity of the evidence provided by the LIA, proving the appointment of the steering committee by the PC had been from the very start illegal.
Tripoli Supreme Court rejected the appeal – lodged in the urgent division of the court attempting to validate (Decree No.115 of 2016) – and upheld its previous verdict, which considered the appointment of the steering committee by the PC null and void.
