Tripoli Revolutionaries Brigade controls Garabulli after three days of clashes
Pro-Government of National Accord (GNA) Tripoli Revolutionaries Brigade (TRB) issued a statement on Tuesday announcing full control of eastern Tripoli Garabulli and Gawea districts after three days of clashes.
“We are now in full control of Garabulli and all vital facilities and checkpoints in the district.” TRB announced.
TRB said the security conditions are stable after what they called the final battle.
Pro-GNA forces and pro-Salvation Government forces from Misurata headed by National Guard forces started fighting in east Tripoli on Sunday over the latter’s attempt to enter Tripoli by force, according to pro-GNA media.
On Tuesday morning, the Health Ministry said four people were killed and 21 others were wounded in the two-day clashes in eastern Tripoli.
