Tobruk Medical Center: 220 deaths and 2,104 births in the first quarter of 2016
The documentation office at the Tobruk Medical Center said that 2,104 birth cases took place in the first quarter of 2016 – 1,064 males and 1, 040 females.
The head of the documentation office, Mahmoud Shuaieb, said the number of death cases of newborns reached 11 in the first three months of this year, saying the birth cases of this year varied between natural birth and surgeries, which amounted to 423.
“The number of deaths in total during the first quarter of 2016 hit 220 – 129 men, 29 children, 62 women. The natural death cases are 169, car accidents’ deaths are 31 and gunshots’ deaths are 14.” He added.
