Tobruk HoR Speaker appoints Head of Gaddafi’s People’s Assembly as Arab affairs adviser
The Speaker of the Tobruk-based House of Representatives (HoR) Aguilah Saleh, has appointed the Head of the People’s Assembly of Gaddafi’s regime, Mohammed Belgasim Al-Zaway, as his adviser on Arab affairs.
The new appointment came as decree number 21 for 2017 issued by the HoR Speaker, Saleh, in mid-March.
“Al-Zaway should be treated like all other advisers of the HoR regarding the financial sides of his job.” The decree reads.
Al-Zaway was released from prison after the Tripoli Supreme Court ruled so in June 2016, citing bad health conditions and age, based on his lawyers’ demands.
