Security forces in regime-controlled areas are conducting arrests of young men for military service, including those with service postponement documentation or existing combat contracts.

Local sources in Artuz, Damascus countryside, report that Military Security checkpoints have detained several young men, despite their possession of valid postponement documents.

The arrests have raised concerns among human rights observers regarding compliance with established military service exemption procedures.
