SSA Anti-Corruption Campaign: “Together Against Corruption”

The campaign focuses on combating money laundering, currency counterfeiting and commercial fraud

The Stability Support Apparatus (SSA) launched a comprehensive anti-corruption campaign yesterday, targeting widespread financial and administrative misconduct across Libya.

The initiative addresses numerous corruption crimes, including bribery, influence peddling, abuse of power, forgery, illicit enrichment, and misappropriation of public funds. The campaign extends its focus to combat sophisticated financial crimes such as money laundering, currency counterfeiting, and commercial fraud.

Through its official Facebook page, the SSA emphasised that concealing such crimes constitutes a criminal offence under current Libyan legislation.

In its public outreach efforts, the apparatus is actively encouraging Libyan citizens to become stakeholders in fighting corruption by reporting suspicious activities. The initiative aims to foster greater public participation in anti-corruption efforts whilst protecting whistleblowers.

The campaign represents a cornerstone of the organisation’s broader strategy to strengthen institutional integrity and safeguard public resources throughout Libya.

Building on previous efforts, the SSA has established a secure online portal where citizens can anonymously report various forms of corruption.

This digital platform ensures confidentiality whilst facilitating the reporting of misconduct ranging from bribery to misuse of public funds.
