Sorman clashes, 6 killed and 14 injured amid relative clam today
Six people were killed and 14 others were injured due to clashes that erupted Sunday evening and continued to Monday morning in Sorman after some gunmen wanted to form new force in the city by attacking one of the city government buildings near the central school at the center of the city.
The Mayor of Sorman said Monday that there is a relative calm after the attacking gunmen had escaped the clash scene, saying there are efforts to solve the problem, which erupted as the gunmen tried to control a government military building by
Sorman military council also added that there has been no coordination with any force about handing over any of the city’s military buildings to any group.
One of the western criminal intelligence authority personnel, Khalid Al-Ghayeb, confirmed that they have seized a phone call between one of the leaders of the attacking gunmen group with Abdullah Haftar, an ISIS affiliate.
