Social media pages and local Libyan social media activists have both similarly reported that the Halbous Brigade, Tripoli Revolutionaries Brigade and Ghaniwa Brigade in Tripoli, which are under the Presidential Council control, have autonomously seized control of vital locations in the capital.

According to different pages, the three armed groups seized the locations from the control of the Presidential Guard of the Government of National Accord and the Presidential Council.

Among the locations seized are, according to the reports, the Tripoli International Airport, the Presidential Council Rexos location in Tripoli, 77 camp and other camps on the airport road in Tripoli, and even the surrounding of Fayez Al-Sirraj’s house. All those areas and locations are controlled and secured by Presidential Council.

Libyan News could not for the time being verify the reports or contact any of the GNA officials or the Presidential Council media office.
