Sirte’s Ibn Sina hospital reopens after full eradication of IS militants, medical chief says
Ibn Sina Hospital in Sirte is due reopening, the hospitals’ director Dr. Mohammed Al-Sariti said on Wednesday.
Al-Sariti said maintenance works are being done in the hospital and the Ibn Sina Hospital will most likely reopen after the liberation of Sirte from IS militants.
He added that they were lucky as the hospital was not damaged while the Misurata-led forces of AL-Bunyan Al-Marsous was pushing IS out of it.
“The medical equipment is still there in the hospital; luckily they only stole some minor equipment.” Al-Sariti.
He indicated that Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous has secured the hospital against any attempts to attack it or rob it of its equipment.
