Security forces dismantle explosive device in Libya capital Tripoli
A security force of the Libyan Interior Ministry of the Government of National Accord (GNA) successfully dismantled Saturday evening an explosive device in the center of the Libyan capital Tripoli.
According o the member of the 301 Operations Room, Mohammed Sahglouf, after receiving a report about a bag of explosives in Al-Drebi area inside Al-Aila Market (Family Market), where the night patrols were stationed, the counter-terrorism bureau headed to the site along with patrols of the force.
“The area in the market was cordoned off to ensure the safety of civilians,” the force added, saying that an explosives expert of the counter-terrorism bureau dismantled the device, a howitzer tank shell connected to a lightning wire and a mobile phone.
