Prime Minister Dbeibah Takes Charge on Counter-Terrorism and Border Security
In a decisive move to reinforce national security, Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah held a high-level meeting today at his Tripoli office with Major General Omar Bogdada, Commander of the Joint Operations Force.
The discussions focused on bolstering counter-terrorism efforts and safeguarding the nation’s borders against illegal activity.
Prime Minister Dbeibah emphasised the urgent need to upgrade the capabilities of Libya’s security and military forces to effectively neutralise any emerging threats. He called for greater collaboration and information sharing between the various security agencies to create a united front against terrorism.
The crackdown on migrant smuggling and human trafficking gangs was also a key topic of discussion. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of ongoing coordination with relevant authorities to tighten border controls and disrupt the operations of these criminal networks.
In his closing remarks, Dbeibah reiterated his unwavering commitment to strengthening Libya’s security infrastructure. He affirmed that the protection of citizens and the preservation of the nation’s sovereignty remain the top priorities of his government in the face of all challenges.
