Presidential Council’s PFG foils attack on oil terminals by Haftar’s forces
The Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) of the Presidential Council has foiled an attack carried out by the forces under the command of Khalifa Haftar, who leads Operation Dignity in eastern Libya.
The attack, according to sources, was conducted on the Ras Lanuf oil terminal at the oil crescent region early on Tuesday.
The sources added no details about the damages or casualties of the thwarted attack.
On Monday, two of the PFG forces were killed in an airstrike for Haftar’s air force on one location at the oil crescent region, near Nufiliya town.
Last week, the Benghazi Defence Brigades (BDB) launched an offensive on Operation Dignity forces and pushed them out of the oil terminals and the oil crescent region.
Later, the BDB handed over the oil ports to the GNA’s PFG forces for security and protection of the Libyans’ fortunes.
