Operation Dignity spokesman: Third Force has connections with Al-Qaeda
Speaking on the Russian Sputnik Radio on Monday, the spokesman of Operation Dignity forces, led by Khalifa Haftar. Ahmed Al-Mesmari, has accused the Third force of being a part of Al-Qaeda, adding that their forces will keep on fighting them until they push them out of the southern region.
“Our forces are face to face with the Third Force fighters on the frontline in southern Libya, especially in Sabha and Tamnahent airbase, and the fight will go one till we cleanse the region from the terrorist groups and militias.” Al-Mesmari indicated.
“Third Force is a linking point with North African branch of Al-Qaeda and Boko Hararm terrorists.” He claimed on the Russian radio.
Southern Libya and Tamnahent airbase has been the arena for a fight between the Third Force of the Defence Ministry of the Government of National Accord and the forces led by Mohammed Ben Nayed, an ally to Khalifa Haftar.
