Operation Dignity forces retake Ras Lanuf, Sidra oil ports
The forces of the Operation Dignity, which is led by Khalifa Haftar, have retaken the oil port of Ras Lanuf and Sidra at the oil crescent after a violent battle and airstrikes’ coverage from the sky, according to the spokesman of the forces, Khalifa Al-Abidi.
Al-Abidi added that the forces of Operation Dignity have seized control of the entire oil crescent region and have kicked out the forces of the Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) of the Government of National Accord from there.
The seizure comes after a violent offensive was launched by Haftar’s forces Tuesday morning aiming at recapturing the oil crescent region after it had lost for the Benghazi Defence Brigades, which gave it to the GNA’s PFG last week.
