NOC, Brega address fuel distribution in Libya
Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) Chairman Farhat Bengdara and Brega Oil Marketing Company Chairman Fouad Belrahim convened on Tuesday to discuss fuel supply operations within the country.
The meeting, attended by NOC Board Member Masoud Suleiman and International Marketing Department Director Rabie Araibi, addressed Brega’s fuel distribution schedules and the challenges it faces in meeting domestic demand.
Discussions also covered ongoing projects to enhance fuel storage capacity and issues related to port infrastructure and unloading operations.
The participants agreed on measures to stabilize fuel supply, including the construction of new storage facilities, according to an NOC statement.
Bengdara acknowledged the efforts of the NOC Marketing Department and Brega Company in maintaining fuel supply amid disruptions caused by oil field closures and the shutdown of the Al-Zawiya refinery.
