Military mobilizations from all parties on the outskirts of Libya’s capital
Security sources from Libya’s capital, Tripoli, revealed that there are various military movements on the outskirts of the city from different parties.
According to the sources, a brigade that is pro-Khalifa Haftar’s forces in eastern Libya is mobilizing its troops and vehicles in camps in Garabulli district some few kilometers away from Tripoli.
On the other hand, the Tripoli Joint Force has started blocking the road that connects Garabullin with Tripoli in Tajoura district with sand barriers in an attempt to avoid any infiltration of any troublemakers.
According to the sources, which could not be verified by The Libyan News, Misuratan brigades affiliated with Salah Badi are also mobilizing troops and vehicles and are asking to make their way inside the capital, which they left in April 2016, when Presidential Council entered the city.
These new movements are ominous of a new war to be lit up in the capital, however; this time on a larger scale knowing that eastern forces led by Khalifa Haftar have been talking lately of entering the capital and ending the “illegitimate” Government of National Accord led by Fayez Al-Serraj.
