Libya’s SSA to host a high-level conference on combating corruption
Libya’s Stability Support Apparatus in collaboration with the Arab European Center for Human Rights and the Arab-British Cultural Forum, will organise over the period 15-16 November, at Corinthia Hotel in the capital, Tripoli, a scientific conference on ‘combating corruption to strengthen stability’ with broad local and international participation.
The conference is intended to actively involve relevant and specialised public institutions, as well as a range of organisations, academics and experts, both locally and internationally, to create a fertile dialogue environment for desired results.
Libya is the 172 least corrupt nation out of 180 countries, according to the 2021 Corruption Perceptions Index reported by Transparency International. Corruption in Libya began during Muammar Gaddafi’s rule from 1969 to 2011.
