Libya’s Presidential Council prioritises Human Rights in meeting with justice minister

Al-Koni envisioned a nation founded on the rule of law and human rights

Two deputy leaders of Libya’s Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni and Abdullah Al-Lafi, held a meeting with Justice Minister Halima Al-Bousifi in Tripoli on 6 October.

The meeting centred on strengthening human rights and furthering national reconciliation efforts within the country.

The Presidential Council emphasised its commitment to supporting the Ministry of Justice in establishing a robust legal framework and upholding human rights. Mr Al-Koni stated the Council’s aim to build a nation based on the rule of law and respect for human rights.

Ms Al-Bousifi affirmed the Ministry’s dedication to protecting the rights of all Libyans as a crucial step towards achieving lasting peace and stability.

This meeting highlights the ongoing efforts to prioritise human rights and promote reconciliation in Libya.
