Libya’s Interior Minister and France’s ambassador discuss security cooperation
The Libyan Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha met with the French ambassador Beatrice de Helene in Tunisia and discussed mutual cooperation in security, anti-terrorism, corruption and money laundering.
The meeting on Tuesday also reviewed the possibility of signing MoUs between Libya and France.
The French ambassador expressed France’s support for the Government of National Accord as the only legitimate body in Libya.
France is accused of backing Haftar’s attack on Tripoli, though it denied it in an official statement and in a meeting between Macron and Al-Sirraj few days ago.
