Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns terror attack in Egypt
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA) has extremely denounced the terrorist accident that took place at El-Darb El-Ahmar Square in the Egyptian capital of Cairo on Monday.
The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the people and government of Egypt, wishing the injured a quick recovery, and confirmed its full solidarity with Arab Republic of Egypt. It also praised Egypt’s efforts to keep the security and stability of the country and its people.
The Ministry reiterated Libya’s stance towards counter-terrorism in all its forms, insisting to completely eliminate it, for it is abhorrent to all values, customs and religions.
For its part, Egyptian Ministry of Interior said in a statement that, the blast occurred when a terrorist with explosive device riding a bicycle, the policemen were trying to arrest him, the bomb blown up, resulted in killing of three police staffers, and two police officers were injured.
