Libyan eastern warplanes, foreign aircraft raid Benghazi downtown
About 20 air raids have so far taken place in Benghazi down town by the fighter aircraft of Operation Dignity and backing-up foreign warplanes (mainly Egyptian) according to local media reports on Thursday.
The airstrikes were centered on Sabri, and Wast Al-Balad (downtown) where the foes of Khalifa Haftar – Benghazi Shura Council – are positioned.
According to a local TV channel in Libya (Al-Nabaa) three drones were also reported as the source of the heavy air raids on Benghazi on Thursday evening.
Haftar has started his Operation Dignity in Benghazi in May 2014 to allegedly fight terrorists in the city.
