Libya signs Tripoli International Airport construction contract with Italian firm
The Libyan transportation projects implementation department signed Wednesday a contract with an Italian firm at the Tripoli International Airport that will allow the company to reconstruct the passengers terminal of the airport.
According to the signing, the new terminal will accommodate about a million travelers per year.
The Italian firm will implement the contract in two stages in 18 months.
On Tuesday, Tripoli International Airport saw the first landing of a flight since 2014. The flight was for the Head of the Presidential Council and his delegation coming onboard a Libyan Airlines plane from Ethiopia.
