In a very strong position as leaders of their group in the qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, the Libyan national football team is looking  to capture at least one point from their clash against Cameroon in  September to advance to the final round of the qualifiers.

Libya has already started their preparatory matches last Saturday after playing against Burkina Faso and won by two goals to one, the first half ended in a one-all draw. In the second half, the captain Ahmad Saad scored the winning goal.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, the national team will play Sudan in a friendly match at Tripoli International Stadium as part of their intense preparations for the 7 September qualifier.  In the middle of Ramadan, Libya will host a mini-tournament  with Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda.   On August 14  Tripoli will welcome the Central African Republic for another friendly before going to Kampala for a final friendly against Uganda on 27 August.
