Libya, France review upcoming National Conference preparations
Officials from Libya and France discussed the upcoming Libyan UN-sponsored national conference on Wednesday.
Deputy Head of the Libyan Higher Council of State Fawzi Al-Agab met with counselor in charge of the Libyan affairs of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs Camby Gorgon, in the capital Tripoli, said a statement issued by the council.
The two officials discussed the latest political, economy and security developments in Libya, as well as the preparations for the upcoming conference.
The conference is part of an action plan proposed by the UN Envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame, with the aim of gathering Libyan political parties in order to end the political division in the country.
