Kaawan: It’s a priority to free oil ports and fields from ISIS threat
The member of Libya’s State Supreme Council, Nizar Kaawan, said it is mandatory for the SSC to free oil ports and fields from the threats of ISIS militants, calling for fighting terrorism and radicalism as well as helping the dinar heal and achieving national reconciliation.
On Friday, Kaawan told Press Solidarity that there must be innovative work platforms for carrying out the state duties on political, civilian, economic and military levels.
“We wish that the Tobruk Parliament would soon meet and endorse the government. The SSC has limited authorities that were bestowed upon it by the Skhirat agreement.” He added.
Kaawan concluded by asking Libyans to put their grudge aside and unite together to build up their country away from tribal and regional tendencies.
