Italian ambassador to Libya visits Misurata
The Italian ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Buccino, has visited Misurata city in order to discuss with local officials the ongoing unrest in Tripoli and other areas in the country.
Ambassador Buccino met on Sunday with the mayor of the city, municipal members, Misurata society’s representatives and members from both the House of Representatives and High Council of State.
The meeting went over the latest developments in Libya and the capital Tripoli.
Misurata officials expressed during the meeting their rejection and condemnation of the ongoing offensive against Tripoli by Khalifa Haftar’s forces.
