Israeli fighter jets conducted bombings in the southern outskirts of Beirut

Israeli jets have launched attacks on Hezbollah positions in the southern outskirts of Beirut, as reported by Al Jadeed television.

The strikes involved heavy bombardment and rocket fire targeting various locations, including the Hadath suburb and a refugee camp within the municipality of Bourj el-Barajneh along the highway to Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport.

As per Lebanon 24, key targets for the Israeli operations included military intelligence headquarters and ammunition depots.

On Monday afternoon, Israeli warplanes conducted at least six aerial assaults on Beirut, reportedly aiming to eliminate Naim Qassem, the deputy secretary-general of Hezbollah.

The military operation, dubbed Northern Arrows, commenced on September 23, with Israel carrying out extensive strikes on Hezbollah’s military assets. Notably, on September 27, an airstrike in Beirut resulted in the death of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah. Subsequently, on October 1, Israel announced the initiation of a ground operation in southern Lebanon’s border regions.
