House of Representatives to pick new Central Bank of Libya governor next week
The House of Representatives (HOR) announced on Tuesday, that it will elect a new governor for the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) in Tripoli, in next week’s session.
In addition to that, HOR spokesman, Abdullah Balhiq, said Tuesday’s session discussed the amendment of the constitutional declaration and the inclusion of the political agreement in accordance with the proposal from the UN mission in Libya, which was approved by the HOR.
The HOR had heard, at the beginning of this year, to three candidates for the governor of the CBL post, without opting any of them due to a dispute that led to the adjournment of the session.
