Head of PC, Fayez Al-Serraj, in Istanbul for Islamic Summit
The Head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Serraj, arrived Wednesday in Istanbul and was received by Turkey’s President, Recep Tayyip Erdoganto.
Al-Serraj is going to attend the two-day Islamic Summit of the Organization Of Islamic Cooperation for the first time, where he is going to hold side-talks with leaders of some vital Islamic countries in the summit.
This marks the second visit of Al-Serraj to Turkey after his January visit in which the Turkish Prime Minister gave him his country’s full support for the UN-backed political agreement and the Government of National Accord.
Al-Serraj’s participation in the Islamic Summit comes one day after he received the Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni, in Libya’s Capital, Tripoli, in which the latter pledged complete assistance and support for Libya’s GNA.
