Hashtag #Leave_the_milk_in_your_shops tops Twitter trending in Libya
A week ago Libyans started a hashtag that called for boycotting buying milk from the shops because businesspersons are charging ridiculous prices for the product with the advent of Ramadan.
Libyans are known for drinking a lot of milk during Ramadan at the breakfast time, along with dates.
The hashtag has so far attracted many Libyans on social media and has topped the trending of Twitter in Libya.
Many tweeters featured the hashtag with their opinions about the high prices and the extortion the businesspersons are doing with no action from the government.
Libyans and Muslims across the world expect to start fasting as Ramadan starts on next Wednesday or Thursday depending on seeing the crescent of Ramadan.
