Haftar to meet Al-Serraj in Libya’s Cyrenaica under sponsorship of UAE
The commander of Operation Dignity forces in eastern Libya, Khalifa Haftar, is going to meet with the Head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Serraj, for a second time under the auspices of the UAE’s Foreign Minister Abdullah Ben Zayed Al Nehayan, Al-Arabiya.Net reported on Saturday.
According to the report, the UAE will bring Haftar and Al-Serraj together in a meeting in Libya’s Cyrenaica region to discuss the current political limbo in the country.
The UAE’s FM said, according to Al-Arabiya, that his country wants Libya to be united and peaceful and will do its best to bring all parties into consensus.
Earlier this year, Al-Serraj and Haftar met and discussed Presidential and Parliamentary elections in Libya in 2018 in Abu Dhabi.
