Haftar receives more support in his visit to UAE
The commander of the eastern forces of Operation Dignity under the Tobruk-based House of Representatives (HoR) Khalifa Haftar visited the United Arab Emirates on Monday and met with the Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince, Mohammed Ben Zyed Al Nahyan.
Al Nahyan confirmed to Haftar his country’s full support for his Operation Dignity in its role in “fighting terrorism” in Libya, according to the UAE News Agency.
He also stressed that Haftar’s role helped create a good environment for a political solution in Libya and lead to forming a unity government in Libya that will be inclusive of all parties.
“We will continue to support peace ans stability in Libya.” Al Nahyan added.
H also told Haftar that his country will help Libyans to be united and will support them in fighting terrorism, the UAE News Agency added.
It is worth mentioning that the UAE is said to be one of the most vital allies of eastern forces led by Haftar, with many reports depicting its warplanes backing up Operation Dignity forces in their fight on Benghazi Mujahideen Shura Council fighters and Derna Mujahideen Shura Council.
