Haftar forces strike El Feel Oilfield
A rogue military led by the East-based Libyan self-styled army forces loyal to Khalifa Haftar carried out four air strikes near the El Feel oilfield. No damage was reported in the oil field.
It was the first military action by the Haftar forces since it banned all flights in southern Libya.
The strikes were directed at commander Ali Kennah, who was inside the compound at the time. Kennah is allied to the Tripoli-based UN-backed unity government.
Sharara and El Feel both send oil to the Zawiya refinery, which has a capacity of 120,000 bpd, which also includes an export terminal in the Oil Crescent.
