Haftar did not consult with UAE before his Tripoli offensive, Gargash says
Reuters reported Wednesday the senior United Arab Emirates Minister official Anwar Gargash as saying that Libya’s Khalifa Haftar did not consult with the Gulf Arab state before his move on the capital Tripoli.
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash also told reporters that Tripoli remained controlled by factions that include “thugs and gangs”.
This statement comes as Haftar’s forces suffer more defeats on frontlines in the south of the capital Tripoli.
