Gunmen murder Chief of Gharyan Security Department
Unknown gunmen assassinated Saturday the Chief of the Security Department in Gharyan city, Colonel Abdelrazzaq Ameish, while he was on his way back to his house in the city.
According to Gharyan municipality, gunmen opened fire on Col. Ameish and left him dead before they drove away.
Interior Ministry officials in the Government of National Accord in Tripoli said they don’t think he was murdered for political reasons, adding that investigations are underway to figure out the truth.
