Foreign nationals apprehended during alcohol seizure operation in Libya

Ghanaian Nationals Detained Following Alcohol Seizure at Construction Site

Three Ghanaian nationals were detained by Libya’s Stability Support Apparatus following a planned operation at an abandoned construction site, officials reported.

The arrests occurred at an unfinished building located on Street 2 near the old scrap yard, where authorities had received intelligence about unauthorised residents allegedly selling homemade alcohol.

During the operation, law enforcement officers discovered and confiscated 81 half-litre bottles containing a clear, strong-smelling liquid believed to be locally produced alcohol.

The three individuals and the seized evidence have been transferred to the Public Prosecution office for further investigation and legal proceedings, according to officials.
