Exclusive: Tripoli Appeals Court’s order shows cancellation of PC’s LIA steering committee
The Libyan News has obtained the Tripoli Appeals Court’s order that ordered the cancellation of the Presidential Council’s decree to form a steering committee to head the Libyan Investment Authority (LIA).
The order shows clearly that on January 22, following the decision of the second administrative division of the Tripoli Appeals Court, the court ruled against Decision 115/2016 made by the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord (GNA), which saw the formation of a Steering Committee to manage the LIA.
The court delivered its final verdict regarding the administrative appeal that had been lodged by the Chairman of LIA, AbdulMagid Breish, against Decree No. (115 of 2016).
The LIA’s Chairman, Breish, re-commenced his work from the headquarters of the LIA on Sunday based on the Tripoli Appeals Court ruling, denying all the reports that said some gunmen took over the LIA’s headquarters in Tripoli.
