Defense Minister Barghathi takes office in Tripoli Wednesday
The spokesman of the Oil Facilities Guard, Ali Al-Hassi, said the UN-backed GNA’s Defense Minister, Al-Mahdi Al-Barghathi, has headed to Tripoli to start his duty from his office there.
In a statement Wednesday, Al-Hassi confirmed that the Oil Facilities Guard will be under the control and command of the Defense Ministry of the GNA, led by Al-Barghathi.
Meanwhile, this comes after a meeting between Al-Barghathi and the Chief of the Oil Facilities Guard, Ibrahim Jodran in the headquarters of the guard earlier.
