Cash Flows as Tunisia Woos Chinese Tycoons!
A meeting took place on Friday between Samir Abdel Hafidh, Tunisia’s Minister of Economy and Planning, and Wen Li, China’s Ambassador to Tunisia, as reported on the ministry’s official page.
Minister Abdel Hafidh expressed his satisfaction with the recent growth in bilateral cooperation, particularly following the Tunisian President’s official visit to China in May 2024 and subsequent high-level meetings.
He highlighted existing financial and technical cooperation, emphasising opportunities to expand support in key areas such as infrastructure, health, and transportation.
The Minister also encouraged increased private investment from China in Tunisia, underscoring the potential for mutual benefit.
Ambassador Li reaffirmed the strong bilateral relations and China’s commitment to further strengthening them.
He expressed China’s willingness to continue supporting Tunisia’s development and highlighted promising prospects for deepening economic ties.
