British Foreign Secretary: UK to support for Tripoli-based LIA, CBL and NOC
The British Foreign Secretary, Philip Hammond has stated that he informed the UK House of Commons on April 19th that he proposed British technical support for the Tripoli-based Libyan Investment Authority and Central Bank of Libya and National Oil Corporation to the Head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Serraj.
Answering press questions about Britain’s role in Libya in the coming period, Hammond said that this could be the thing the UK will focus on, saying that it will help Libya recover its economy so that it goes bacck on the track.
Hammond explained tat the UK picked those institutions for the great and professional performance they showed all around the five years following the toppling of Gaddafi.
