British Foreign Minister has arrived in Tripoli to back up GNA
The British Foreign Minister, Philip Hammond, has arrived in Tripoli Mitiga airport Monday morning and headed to Tripoli Naval Base, where he is going to meet the Head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Serraj.
The British Foreign Minister is in Tripoli to show the UK’s support for the Government of National Accord and its Presidential Council, knowing that his visit today comes days after the visit of the British ambassador to Libya, Peter Millette, to Tripoli.
Moreover, Hammond’s visit also comes amid growing talks of British intervention in Libya and British troops being already in Libya protecting Al-Serraj and the PC members in the Naval Base, according to the Sunday Times, and also other UK troops set to enter Libya in a training and security mission.
