Benotman to the UAE: Take your sons home before Libayn warplanes hunt them down
The Head of London-based Quilliam Foundation, Noman Benotman, said the airstrikes carried out by forces under the command of the Government of National Accord (GNA) on Monday on three positions for Khalifa Haftar’s forces in Al-Jufra are a blindingly obvious message to the six UAE officers who are operating from there.
Benotman added on his Twitter page that the three air raids hit an ammunition depot and an operations room inside which the Emarati officers are working, saying their defense system operates at a distance of 15 km.
“The UAE should return their sons from Libya to their houses before our Libyan warplanes hunt them.” Benotman warned.
These remarks came as military sources denied that a warplane was shot down on Monday in Al-Jufra.
Haftar launched his offensive on Tripoli on April 04, since then, about 450 people have been killed and over 2500 injured, not to mention the tens of thousands who got displaced and the damage done to houses and infrastructure.
