Benghazi Defence Brigades launches offensive on Operation Dignity-controlled oil terminals
Benghazi Defence Brigades (BDB) launched Friday an offensive on Operation Dignity forces in Ras Lanuf oil terminal in a bid to seize it from the Khalifa Haftar-led forces .
Many fighters from Operation Dignity were killed in the new abrupt advance of the BDB’s forces.
BDB controlled the Ras Lanuf oil terminal after the clashes and were reportedly moving to control the Ben Jawad town.
Meanwhile, the air force of the Operation Dignity forces have carried out many airstrikes to push the BDB back.
Operation Dignity seized the oil terminals from Ibrahim Jodran forces back in September and have been in control of them since.
